Funded by the Social Welfare Department, the Organization launched the After School Care Centre for Pre-primary Children in the Tsuen Wan district on April 1, 2025. It aims to provide after-school care services for parents or caregivers of children aged 3 to 6 or kindergarten students who are either working long, unstable and/or unconventional working hours, having financial and/or social hardship in securing care by their own means before/after school hours. It offers services include homework guidance, themed activities, snacks or meals, and the regular organization of parent education and parent-child activities, all of which nurture the physical and mental development of young children, alleviate caregiving pressures on working parents, and support parents in maintaining employment. The unit is managed by social workers and staff experienced in early childhood education. Additionally, social workers provide referral services tailored to the specific needs of individual families to offer further support.
